We offer lessons in voice and piano as well as individual audition prep sessions. Our space is limited per instructor so a request must be made before the lessons can be scheduled. Audition preparations can be scheduled individually. All other lessons (voice, piano, etc) are scheduled in groups of 4 lessons at a time. Each student can sign up on a month to month or semester by semester basis.

Lawren Hill-Palmer: Wednesday & Saturday
Lawren Hill-Palmer is ACT’s inaugural voice and piano teacher, and serves as the Program Manager for their lesson program. She is extraordinarily passionate about teaching and focuses on a physiological approach to singing, with an emphasis on healthy and sustainable technique.
Recent performances include Maria in West Side Story and Belle in Beauty and the Beast with ACT. Other engagements include the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah with Hagerstown Choral Arts, the title role in Amahl and the Night Visitors with Opus Concert Theater, Fanny Wiggins in Sousa’s Chris and the Wonderful Lamp, and Mabel in Pirates of Penzance with Way Off Broadway. Some of her other favorite performances include Josephine in HMS Pinafore (Ohio Light Opera), Gretel in Hansel and Gretel (Shepherd University), and the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Masterworks Chorale (SU). She has also been a soloist with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra and performed with the enCanta Collective in New York City.
Ms. Hill is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music (MSM) where she received a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance, and of Shepherd University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Vocal Performance. Lawren has been a member of the ACT Board of Directors since 2019.
Nadia McClain: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Nadia McClain has studied voice and music for the past 10+ years. She attended Barbara Ingram School for the Arts and then proceeded to study in Australia for two and half years.
She has taught lessons for the past 3 years. Currently she has an integral role in the creative model for the Lifehouse Church worship experiences as well as being the Service Director for the Lifehouse Youth program. Her goal for you is to feel more confident in the voice you have been given and how to use it properly!
